Scott Tinker brings industry, government, academia, and nongovernmental organizations together to address major societal challenges in energy, the environment, and the economy. Dr. Tinker is Director Emeritus of the Bureau of Economic Geology, and a professor holding the Allday Endowed Chair in the Jackson School of Geosciences at The University of Texas at Austin. With Director Harry Lynch, Tinker co-produced the award-winning documentary films Switch and Switch On, which have been screened in over 50 countries. Dr. Tinker founded the nonprofit Switch Energy Alliance, whose educational materials appear from schools to board rooms globally.

Kaes Van’t Hof has served as President and Chief Financial Officer of Diamondback Energy since February 2022. He previously served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Business Development from February 2019 to February 2022, as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development from January 2017 to February 2019 and as Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development since joining the company in July 2016.
J.D. "Joey" Hall
Pioneer Natural Resources
Joey Hall is Executive Vice President, Operations, for Pioneer Natural Resources and a member of its Executive Committee. He is responsible for drilling, completions, production operations, and capital projects. Hall’s career began in 1989, when he joined Pioneer’s predecessor company, MESA, Inc. He held several positions in worldwide facilities, eventually managing onshore, offshore, deep water and international projects across the company.

ProPetro Services
Sam Sledge joined ProPetro in 2011. He has served in various capacities throughout his tenure including working as a Frac Technical Specialist and a Technical Operations Manager where his duties involved quality control, planning and logistics, and the development of the engineering program. Sam’s most recent leadership roles at ProPetro include Vice President of Finance, Corporate Development, and Investor Relations.
Will Hickey
Permian Resources
Will Hickey has served as Co-Chief Executive Officer and Director of Permian Resources since September 2022. Prior to that, he co-founded Colgate Energy with James Walter in 2015 and served as Colgate’s President & CEO. Prior to the formulation of Colgate, Will worked for energy private equity firm EnCap Investments where he evaluated and monitored investments across the oil and gases peace with a focus on the Permian Basin.

Piper Sandler
Sanjiv Shah joined the energy & power investment banking group at Piper Sandler in 2008 as an analyst. Since then, Shah has worked on more than 150 M&A, strategic advisory, restructuring and capital markets projects, including playing a key role in the majority of the oilfield services & equipment sector’s U.S. IPOs since 2014. Shah is based in Houston and was named global co-head of energy & power investment banking in July of 2019.
